This month, Bloomfield MIssions would like to spotlight City Mission, located in Detroit, MI, as it's missionary of the month. City Mission is based in the Brightmoor community of Detroit and is working to break the cycle of generational poverty by providing for the education, physical and spiritual needs of children through mentoring relationships and outreach programs. City Mission has developed their stratagy into four pillars they use to impact Brightmoor, the City Mission Acadamy, Tutoring and Mentoring, Leaders in Training, and Family Developing. Through these four pillars, City Mission labors to change the outcome of families and at-risk children in Brightmoor.
